Hi. I am Lydia, happy owner of Eerie Silence. Here's a little about me.

I absolutely love God, life, music, food and the camera, but really the people that are involved in my life. This is my personal photo journal in which I want you to feel. With entries that are heart felt. The ones that draw more than just my memory back at a moment. My goal is to create an environment where this is possible.

For me there is something fulfilling about taking photographs and falling completely in love with it and the memories it creates. With that being said, photography is crazy important to me, and if for you too, then we're totally going to be a great fit!

All I did was take pictures

Most people don't take snapshots of the little things: the bathroom curtain, the dry water from the toothbrushes cup, the girl on the couch. But these are the things that make up the true picture of our lives. People don't take pictures of these things. Yesterday, like every once in a while I come to the realization that I have a rather powerful gun under my possession... Onix. That's my Nikon. I am so lucky to have the privilege to own it. I decided to go all over my house to see what would please my third eye. As I was at it, I remembered this extremely talented guy I had met through my photography blog (which I don't use anymore, and he deleted his page *sobs*). He inspired me to take these photos. I remember he had beautifully captured film photos all around his apparent and their mood was inspiring to me. I am glad I let him know he inspired me then. At the time I was still new at the whole "photography" world. Like him I tried to capture all around me but I couldn't see it the way I was seeing his work. I wasn't trying to be like him, I like to have my own style but to me the photos had no value. Now a few years later I tried again and for me, these have improved much more than when I first tried. I still want to work on my post-processing, also being content with what I do.

I'd like to call these snapshoots, even if they were taken with my DSLR because they were captured quickly and without perfecting much focus or aim. These are a few of the many snapshots I have in files taken yesterday. I am hoping to inspire you the way I was inspired. I left my surroundings. I was in my own world. All I did was take pictures.
