Hi. I am Lydia, happy owner of Eerie Silence. Here's a little about me.

I absolutely love God, life, music, food and the camera, but really the people that are involved in my life. This is my personal photo journal in which I want you to feel. With entries that are heart felt. The ones that draw more than just my memory back at a moment. My goal is to create an environment where this is possible.

For me there is something fulfilling about taking photographs and falling completely in love with it and the memories it creates. With that being said, photography is crazy important to me, and if for you too, then we're totally going to be a great fit!

Way back, like waaayyy back in 2010 when I first got my very first, and only, DSLR Nikon camera it was hard for me to find things to photograph. Trust me, I would photograph anything and everything. But right before getting my very own "big" camera I found out about, and got, into the 365 photo projects. Without much thought I decided to give it a try. A few people had inspired me lots, others supported me and were looking forward to my photographs. With 134 photos of 365 I gave up on my project. It got very hard to come up with fresh and original ideas and I also was in a battle with depression so it was very difficult to feel motivated.

You can start the project with photos of whatever you desire. The point is to take one photo a day for a whole year, (notice the '365' or 366 for leap year). While cleaning up my trusty ol' computer I came across this folder and while back then I didn't know how important was to keep original files, I manage to find my project 365 with a few original DSLR photos. My project was about my little vinyl  figurines having adventures as if they lived. Think Toy Story without the 'hiding from humans' part. There were Yoshi's, Hello Kitty, some Sonic characters, rement food and other toys, but the main character, the protagonist of my series was my beloved Yotsuba. Because of this project I got to experience many fun and lovely adventures with my Yotsuba dolls (I got two different sets of her) and even got to portrait her character based on the original in mangas very well. Right after I decided to buy the mangas, which I was reading online only. I am now up to date with the volumes waiting eagerly another to be released. It's been too long! I also on the side was learning a lot about DSLRs. I was doing a lot of research. Reading and reading about photography. Learning about it all. Or mostly. You can say I learned something right? I'm still learning every day.

After finding a few original photo files of my Yotsuba project, I decided to edit them to my liking today and share them with you. Some are just cute portraits of her while others share a story. I hope you like them!

Yotsuba & Yoshis!

Yotsuba & moon walk!

Yotsuba & portraits!

Yotsuba & the rain! :D

Yotsuba & gum!

Yotsuba & the gigantic Hershey's Kiss!

After editing these and sharing them I realized that I miss taking photographs of Yotsuba and my characters so much. Making up stories while photographing them was something I truly enjoyed. I hope you did too! Thanks for reading! xx
